Get to Know … Debra

Deb (Grandgeorge) Honkala and her husband Eric are longtime residents of Somonauk and have been married for 40 years. She graduated from Monmouth College with an Elementary Education and learning disabilities degree. Deb and Eric have two adult children, Bob, and Erica. Also, with her husband, owned Eric’s Restaurant from 1981 to 1997 in addition to owning and operating Dekalb Street Floral in Somonauk from 1997 to 2010. The family also owns and operates Bud’s Citgo station in Somonauk. As a Real Estate Broker, she works with clients in buying and selling homes, farms, and land.
