Emilie

Emilie is originally from Plano where her family was known in the community for her father, Al Benson, and Jim Dockendorf’s ownership in Dock’s Appliance. Emilie graduated from Northern Illinois University to become a Physical Education teacher and spent the following 10 years at Yorkville High School as a teacher and 2 years as the Physical Education Department Chair. Emilie and her husband, Dan, decided to leave the Plano community and reside in Sheridan to start their family, where they had brought two amazing little boys into the world.

Emilie has always shown a passion for real estate from the time she was young. Through the years of growing up in a house that was a fixer upper, her parents put in a lot of sweat, tears, and dreams to turn an ordinary house into a home for their family. The home that her parents created for their family has always driven Emilie to help others to find a place they can call home.
The qualities that Emilie will carry over from her years in education are communication, honesty, dedication, as well as many others that will help clients feel confident in her guiding them through an exciting time in their lives.
